Hey. I’m updating because I haven’t in a while. Let’s just do some BulletNews…

* I bought a new computer. I can’t tell you what it is until Sunday because I’m not allowed to mention products my company makes. So shhh! It won’t get here until Monday anyway because FedEx is stupid. See if this makes any sense to you. Taiwan, Alaska, Taiwan?? The delivery date was listed as TODAY until I looked yesterday and saw that little Alaska screwup. FedEx is lame.

* The last entry I posted was about a conflict that didn’t last very long. The entry served its purpose of alerting the person who was upset with me that I didn’t mean to upset her. We made up. Life moved on. Thank you! to the persons who took the opportunity to wish me luck in that situation.

* As I implied in bullet point number 1, Saturday is my last day at the computer store. I will miss the cool coworkers (and of course the pretty assistant manager). And the open-box product discounts (I took home a Microsoft Intellimouse for $19.95 today, which is half-price). And of course the regular employee discount, which is why I bought my computer just now and got my 25%. To get my Working there, you get to look and see what’s available on open-box discount, whereas the customers would have to ask, “Is there an open-box such-and-such in the stockroom?” and wait 20 minutes for a runner to get a clue and give a reliable answer. Which may or may not be accurate. Always do things for yourself and you’ll get a better deal.

* I’m moving out of San Francisco on Friday 28 May, spending the weekend back home in Ukiah, and leaving California until further notice on 1 June. The Walt Disney World College Program starts on 2 June; I’m taking the overnight flight on JetBlue. Anyone want to meet me at JFK airport (New York) and entertain me during my layover (5-8 local time)?

* They’ll have high-speed internet there in Orlando, so expect to see me approximately as frequently as now. Of course, I’ll be working full time instead of 12 hours of school and 22 hours of work. Not a huge difference I guess. I hope it doesn’t seem like less free time to me.

* I shared this story with my closest friends already, so if it starts to look familiar, skip it. I was at work, and a girl came into the store to talk to my co-worker, a cashier. This girl, who we’ll call “Laura” because that was her name, recognized me and eventually traced it to me having lived in SFSU’s dorms last in 2002-03. I told her that yes, I had lived on the second floor, and she said, “Oh, and didn’t you have a girlfriend?” This is the funny/interesting part. I started to make that snorting sound (the one you’d make if someone told you something ridiculous and you were about to say “Are you insane?”) that I make whenever anyone asks me if I have a girlfriend. I guess to my subconscious, not only am I single for now and the future, but it’s as though I’ve never had a girlfriend. Even consciously, I don’t even remember what it feels like to be held, or to be kissed, or to have someone look at me and say “I love you.” Did it even happen?

* So I’m selling my existing computer to Ana from Econ. I found out last night on the phone that she has a blog somewhere, but it’s more like a personal diary, in that she doesn’t want anyone she knows to read it (so she can feel free to write whatever she wants about anyone without fear of them being offended. I totally understand and respect that, but she intrigues me a lot, and part of me wants her to let me read it. I resisted the urge to scour the Internet looking for it, though. It wouldn’t be right. She asked me how to get one’s website to come up on Google. I think she’s jealous of me.

* Gaaaaah! My apartment is a mess and SO not ready to be moved out. But I’ll manage it at the last minute as always. I hate that though.

* I stayed up way too late last night. I’m going to bed before 1 tonight. Honest.

* I’m really hungry now. I set the “Mood” on this entry before writing it, and now I’m really hungry.
